Upcoming Water Park

Niuland, Nagaland, India
The Upcoming Water Park in Hozukhe Village is the most anticipated tourism development in the Niuland district, set to transform the region into a major recreational hub. Spanning over 5 to 20 acres of lush riverside land, this project is being developed to offer a modern contrast to the traditiona l rural experiences of the area. The park is strategically located near the Zubza River, allowing for a design that integrates natural water features with high-tech amusement rides. It will feature multiple swimming pools, giant water slides, a lazy river, and a dedicated kids' play zone with interactive fountains. The project aims to provide a much-needed leisure destination for residents of Dimapur, Chumukedima, and even visitors from nearby Assam, who currently have limited options for modern water-based entertainment. Beyond the slides, the park will include landscaped gardens, food courts serving both local Naga delicacies and international fast food, and changing facilities built to international standards. The development is expected to boost the local economy of Hozukhe Village by creating jobs and encouraging the growth of homestays and small businesses. It represents the new face of Niuland—a district that is successfully balancing its cultural roots with the demands of modern tourism.

Contemporary Theme Park Design: The architecture of the Hozukhe Water Park follows a "Tropical Oasis" theme, utilizing eco-friendly materials where possible alongside high-durability polymers for the rides. The main entrance pavilion is a massive structure measuring 40 by 20 meters, featuring a modern wave-shaped roof that reflects the park's aquatic nature. The central pool area covers approximately 1 acre, designed with a gradual slope like a natural beach. The slide towers stand at varying heights, with the tallest reaching 15 meters, constructed with heavy-duty galvanized steel supports. Extensive use of anti-skid tiles and UV-resistant coatings ensures safety and longevity in the humid Naga climate. The food court is designed as an open-air cafeteria with a 200-person seating capacity, utilizing a combination of steel frames and traditional bamboo-inspired decorative elements to maintain a local aesthetic. The entire perimeter is being landscaped with over 500 indigenous trees to provide natural shade and windbreaks.
