Overview of the Sanctuary: The Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1986, is a massive protected area spanning over 2,073 Sq Kms across several districts like Meerut, Bijnor, and Amroha. This sanctuary is a vital part of the Indo-Gangetic plains, offering a diverse landscape that includes w etlands, marshes, and dense forests. It serves as a crucial habitat for the critically endangered Swamp Deer (Barasingha) and the national bird, the Sarus Crane, making it a paradise for nature lovers.
