How to Reach

By Air:: The nearest major airport is Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh (IXC), approximately 75 KMS away. From the airport, one can hire a pre-paid taxi, which takes about 1. 5 to 2 hours to reach Khanna. Alternatively, local bus services are available from the Chandigarh bus stand.

By Train:: Khanna Railway Station (KNN) is well-connected on the main Delhi-Amritsar railway line. The ruins are a short 5-10 minute ride (~2 KMS) from the station by auto-rickshaw or electric rickshaw. Many express trains stop at Khanna.

By Road:: Khanna is located directly on the Grand Trunk Road (National Highway 44) which provides excellent road connectivity. One can reach Khanna easily by personal car, state-run buses (Punjab Roadways/PRTC), or private luxury buses from major cities like Ludhiana (40 KMS), Patiala (65 KMS), and Chandigarh (75 KMS).

By Local Transport:: Once in Khanna, the fort area is best reached by local transport. Options include auto-rickshaws, cycle-rickshaws, and e-rickshaws (Electric Vehicle). Negotiate the fare before starting the journey. The ruins are easily walkable from the main Mandi area.
