By Road: Tungri Village is located approximately 14 KM from Padum center: The road is motorable, though it can be rough and dusty: It is on the same road circuit that leads to the villages and monasteries on the southern side of the valley, such as Sani and Karsha:

By Local Transport: A local shared or private taxi hired from the Padum market is the most convenient way: Tungri is a key stop on the 'southern circuit' of monasteries/villages: It is also a very popular and scenic cycling route from Padum (around 1. 5 hours one way), offering beautiful views of the valley floor and river:
