Pochera Waterfalls

Jangaon, Telangana, India
A Natural Wonder: Pochera Waterfalls is one of the most scenic and unique waterfalls in the state of Telangana. Formed by the Godavari River, it is famous for being the deepest waterfall in the region. Unlike other falls that just drop from a height, Pochera has a multi-level cascade where the water gathers in a wide pool before plunging 20 meters into a deep granite base. The surrounding Sahyadri Mountain Range and dense forests create a prehistoric vibe. The roar of the water can be heard from a distance, and the mist created by the fall keeps the area cool even in summer. The bed of the waterfall is made of solid granite, which gives the water a clear, sparkling appearance. It is a popular spot for picnics and nature photography, though swimming is strictly discouraged due to the extreme depth and strong undercurrents. The area is maintained as a park with walkways and viewpoints, making it accessible for families. It offers a raw, untouched beauty that is hard to find in urban parks.
