Monkey Falls is a delightful natural waterfall nestled amidst the dense evergreen forests of the Anamalai Hills of the Western Ghats. Conveniently located right next to the main road that connects Pollachi to the hill station of Valparai, it is approximately 6 KMS from the Aliyar Dam. The falls casc ade down rocky steps, forming a refreshing pool at the base where visitors can take a rejuvenating bath. The area is named for the presence of numerous monkeys (bonnet macaques) that inhabit the surrounding forest area, adding a lively, albeit sometimes mischievous, presence.
