Snorkeling Sites Kadmat
Easy Access to a Colorful World: The vast, clear, and shallow lagoon on the western side of Kadmat Island provides an ideal and safe environment for snorkeling. The water is often only a few feet deep in many areas, allowing non-swimmers and children to enjoy the experience safely. Snorkelers can si mply walk out from the beach to the inner reef line. The lagoon functions as a nursery for various fish species, making sightings of young colorful reef fish, sea cucumbers, and smaller rays very common. A Gentle Introduction to Marine Life: The pristine water offers excellent visibility, and the calm conditions within the protective reef barrier mean no strong currents, ensuring a relaxing and rewarding activity. Equipment, including masks, snorkels, and fins, is readily available for rent at the Water Sports Center. It is the most accessible way to experience the famous coral ecosystems of Lakshadweep without needing specialized training or deep water skills.
