Travel Tips Of Doda
Tourism Tips
Packing: Sturdy walking shoes are a must due to the hilly terrain of the town. Carry layers of clothing, as the temperature can change rapidly when the sun goes behind the mountains or if you travel to higher altitudes.
Accommodation: Doda has several budget hotels and government guesthouses. For a better selection of tourist-oriented stays, many visitors choose to stay in nearby Bhaderwah and visit Doda as part of their journey.
Respecting the River: The Chenab is a very powerful and dangerous river; never attempt to swim in it or go too close to the edge in areas that are not designated for public use. Always follow the safety instructions of rafting guides.
