Details : Kondagattu Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple is one of the most revered religious shrines in Telangana, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The presiding deity here is unique because it feat ures the face of Lord Narasimha on one side and Lord Anjaneya on the other, symbolizing dual protection. According to local lore, the temple was discovered by a cowherd named Sanjeevudu after the Lord appeared in his dream. Thousands of devotees visit this temple to take the Hanuman Deeksha, a period of penance lasting 11, 21, or 41 days. The temple complex is surrounded by dense forests and rugged hills, providing a serene environment for meditation and prayer. The "Chandan" (sandalwood paste) provided at the temple is considered to have miraculous healing properties for various ailments. The climb to the temple offers breathtaking views of the valley below, and the architecture reflects a blend of ancient and modern styles.
