The presiding deity here is unique because it feat ures the face of Lord Narasimha on one side and Lord Anjaneya on the other, symbolizing dual protection. According to local lore, the temple was discovered by a cowherd named Sanjeevudu after the Lord appeared in his dream. Thousands of devotees visit this temple to take the Hanuman Deeksha, a period of penance lasting 11, 21, or 41 days.
