The European Influence: The Jagtial Fort, also known as Quilla Gadda, is a unique architectural masterpiece in Telangana, renowned for being the only star-shaped fort in the state, a design that reflects a rare fusion of local and European military engineering. Built in the 17th century during the r eign of Nawab Ibrahim, a governor under the Mughals, the fort was conceptualized and constructed with the help of two French engineers, Jack and Tal, whose names combined to give the town its name, Jagtial. The fort is surrounded by a deep, wide moat that was historically filled with water to provide a formidable defense against invaders, a feature that still exists today and adds to its scenic charm.
