Establishment and Control:: The Military Mahadeva Temple is a uniquely managed Hindu shrine in Belagavi, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was officially inaugurated in 1955 by Lieutenant General S.M. Shrinagesh, General Officer, and Commander-in-Chief Southern Command. The temple is situated within the B elagavi Cantonment area and is meticulously built and maintained by the Indian Army, specifically the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC), lending it a distinct sense of discipline and patriotism. This military patronage makes it a spiritual hub for defense personnel and their families, as well as the civilian populace. Temple Environment:: The temple is set in the midst of a lush green, well-landscaped garden and park area, providing a calm and peaceful atmosphere that contrasts with the typical hustle of a city temple.
