The tomb is located in the Jumaat Mosque, which is a highly revered site for pilgrims and locals. The island remains a center for religious learning and traditional Islamic studies. Economic Life: The island is heavily covered with thick vegetation, primarily coconut groves, which support a thriving coir and copra industry. Fishing is the other major economic activity, with Andrott being a significant contributor to the territory's fish exports. The community is industrious and maintains a strong connection to their maritime and agricultural roots. Archaeological Finds: Interestingly, Andrott is one of the few places in Lakshadweep where Buddhist archaeological remains have been discovered. This suggests a history that predates the Islamic era, adding a layer of mystery and historical depth to the island.
