By Train:The nearest railway station is Dehradun Railway Station (DDN), about 35 kilometers away. From Dehradun, take a taxi to the Mussoorie Mall Road (Kulri side). From Kulri, you must hire a local taxi or walk the approx. 2-3 kilometer uphill climb to Landour and the Char Dukan square.
By Road:Char Dukan is accessible by road, but the roads in Landour Cantonment are narrow, steep, and heavily restricted by the military, often requiring a pass or special permission for private vehicles. It is best to take a local Mussoorie taxi to the Landour end of the road and walk the final distance.
By Local Transport:From Kulri Bazaar on the Mall Road, the best way to reach is by a shared local taxi (called a Landour Taxi) or a local cycle rickshaw to the point closest to Sister's Bazaar. Alternatively, a beautiful and highly recommended activity is to walk the approximately 3-4 km uphill from Kulri, which takes about 45 minutes to an hour. :
