How To Reach Ling-Darha Waterfall

General Overview: Ling-Darha Waterfall, also known locally as Lim-Darha, is a hidden marvel located in the "Mari" (plateau) region of Keshkal. The name "Darha" usually refers to a deep pool or a waterfall in the local dialect. This waterfall is formed by the Ama Nala stream, which plunges from a hei ght of about 25 to 30 feet into a perfectly circular, deep pool. One of the most remarkable features of this fall is that it is perennial; even in the dry summer months, a steady stream of water continues to flow, making it a vital oasis for forest wildlife. The area is surrounded by vertical rock faces and dense forests that remain green year-round. The "Mari" area is known for its high altitude and cool climate, providing a refreshing escape from the plains. Because the site is very remote and known only to the residents of Bawanimari panchayat, it remains one of the most pristine and unpolluted spots in the entire district. The trek to the falls offers sweeping views of the Keshkal valley from above before descending into the shaded cove where the water falls. It is a place of absolute silence, broken only by the chirping of insects and the splash of the cascade.

How to Reach

By Air: Fly to Raipur and travel south to Keshkal.

By Train: Nearest stations are Jagdalpur or Raipur.

By Road: Drive to Keshkal, then take the forest road through Batrali village toward the Mari area.

By Local Transport: A private 4x4 vehicle or a sturdy motorcycle is recommended for the rugged forest paths.
