By Train: The nearest major railway station is Dehradun Railway Station (DDN), approximately 150 KMS away. From Dehradun, hire a taxi or take a state-run bus to Chakrata, and then switch to a local shared taxi (Jeep/Sumo) for the final rough stretch to the Mundali base.
By Road: Mundali is about 36 KMS from Chakrata. The route is challenging, especially the final 10-15 KMS, which is a poorly maintained unmetalled forest road, requiring a high-clearance vehicle (SUV/Jeep). Direct taxis are available from Dehradun and Vikas Nagar.
By Local Transport: Local shared taxis (Jeeps/Sumos) operate intermittently from Chakrata town to the base of Mundali, but their frequency is low due to the road condition. It is best to hire a dedicated vehicle for the return trip.
