The Sriram Sagar Project (SRSP), also known as the Pochampadu Project, is one of the largest irrigation projects in India. While the dam itself is an engineering marvel, the backwaters offer a vast, sea-like expanse of water that is breathtaking to behold. The project was inaugurated by the first P rime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, in 1963. The backwaters stretch across multiple districts, creating a massive reservoir that supports millions of acres of farmland.
