While often confused with the more famous and higher Chilmiri Neck, this point provides a distinct, equally beautiful view of the lower Garhwal valleys and the various settlements dotting the hillside, particularly towards the Vikasnagar side. It is a favored location for tourists and locals alike who prefer not to travel far for the evening spectacle. The convenience of this point is its primary draw, offering a quick stop for a stunning photo opportunity and a moment of evening tranquility before heading back to the town's accommodation. By Air: Nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun (DED), approximately 100 KMS away. Hire a taxi to Chakrata and then a local cab to the viewpoint; By Train: Nearest major railway station is Dehradun Railway Station (DDN), approximately 90 KMS away. Take a taxi or local bus to Chakrata, and then easily walk or drive the short distance to the point; By Road: It is located on the main road from Vikasnagar to Chakrata, approximately 1. 9 KMS from the main Chakrata market. It is easily reached by any vehicle; By Local Transport: It is a very short, pleasant walk (about 15-20 minutes) from the main Chakrata market, or you can take a local auto/taxi for a few minutes.
