How To Reach Uiphum Town

How to Reach

By Air: Fly to Lengpui, take a Sumo to Lawngtlai, and then a secondary shared Sumo to Uiphum (2-hour drive).

By Train: Not feasible; the nearest railhead is Bhairabi or Silchar, requiring several days of mountain driving.

By Road: Well connected to Lawngtlai town by a winding but scenic mountain road that is best navigated by Jeeps.

By Local Transport: Shared Sumos leave from Lawngtlai Main Market every morning for Uiphum and return in the afternoon.
