Kankaria Zoo
The Kamla Nehru Zoological Garden, popularly known as Kankaria Zoo, was established in 1951 by Reuben David. Located on the banks of Kankaria Lake, it is one of the best-maintained zoos in India. The zoo is famous for its successful breeding programs for endangered species and its lush, green envir onment that provides a natural habitat for the animals. It houses a wide variety of wildlife, including the rare albino animals, tigers, lions, leopards, and an extensive collection of reptiles and birds.
