Loam's Viewpoint is a highly popular vantage point located strategically on the winding Ghat road leading from Aliyar Dam up to the hill station of Valparai. It is specifically situated on the 9th hairpin bend and is named after Matthew Loam, a surveyor who mapped the road in 1886. This viewpoint of fers one of the most magnificent and comprehensive panoramic views in the region. From this height, visitors can clearly see the lush green plains of Pollachi, the vast blue waters of the Aliyar Reservoir, the entire stretch of the winding mountain road, and the formidable peaks of the surrounding Anamalai Mountain Range. It is a mandatory stop for all travelers heading to Valparai and a favorite spot for photographers. :
