Dor Fortress
The Original Fort of Kol: The Dor Fortress or Dor Qila Ruins refers to the original fort structure of Kol (the old name for Aligarh), upon whose site and foundations the later, more famous Aligarh Fort (Aligarh Quila) was built. The construction dates back to the 15th century under the Lodi dynasty. The name 'Dor' is often associated with the local Dor Rajput community who may have held the area earlier.
