How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport is Kullu Manali Airport (KUU) at Bhuntar, approximately 46 KM from Manali town, where the river flows. Taxis and buses are readily available from Bhuntar to Manali. Chandigarh Airport is the main international connection, about 313 KM away.

By Train: The closest major broad-gauge railway station is Kalka Railway Station (275 KM) or Chandigarh Railway Station (313 KM). From either, take a taxi or the frequent overnight bus service to Manali. Joginder Nagar Railway Station (164 KM) is the narrow-gauge alternative.

By Road: The river flows directly through the Kullu Valley, and the Leh-Manali Highway (NH-3) runs parallel to it for a significant distance. The river is highly accessible from all parts of Manali and Kullu town via the main road. The Old Manali Bridge is about 2 KM from Manali Mall Road.

By Local Transport: Within Manali town, you can easily walk to the river banks near Old Manali. For rafting points near Kullu or other adventure spots, it is best to hire a local taxi, which is usually included in the adventure package cost. Auto-rickshaws are suitable for shorter distances along the river in the Manali area.
