How to Reach
By Train: Nearest major station is Neral Railway Station. From Neral, one can take the Matheran Hill Railway (Toy Train) to Matheran Station (approx. 5 KMS from the point, followed by a walk/pony ride to the point). Alternatively, the trek begins near Dhom Dam/Neral.
By Road: Matheran is a vehicle-free zone. Drive up to Dasturi Naka (9 KMS from Neral). From Dasturi, hire a pony or walk to the point (approx. 5 KMS). For the actual Garbett Trek, one can take a taxi to the starting point near Dhom Dam.
Local Transport: Walk or hire a pony/horse from the Matheran market/railway station.
