Louisa Point
The Prabal Fort Watchtower: Louisa Point is one of the most popular and dramatically situated viewpoints in Matheran, famous for offering a breathtakingly clear, expansive view of the ruined forts of Prabalgad (the most prominent view) and Vishalgad in the distance. The point is a massive, flat prom ontory with two distinct tiers that allow visitors to look down into the deep valley below. From its vantage point on the western edge of the plateau, you can also look back at the Matheran town and its wall, as well as spot the nearby Charlotte Lake and Echo Point. It is particularly renowned for the unique natural rock formation visible from the point, which strikingly resembles a Lion's Head or a hooded cobra, making it a spectacular photo subject.
