By Train: The most convenient route is to take a local train from Mumbai to Neral Junction on the Central Railway line. From Neral, you can take the Matheran Hill Railway Toy Train up to Matheran station (if operational) or a shared taxi/cab up to Dasturi Naka.
By Road: Drive from Mumbai (approx. 83 KMS) or Pune (approx. 120 KMS) to Dasturi Naka (the vehicle parking area, 2. 5 KMS from Matheran town center). From Dasturi Naka, the point is accessible only by foot, horse, or hand-pulled rickshaw.
By Local Transport: From Matheran market/station, hire a pony/horse or a hand-pulled rickshaw, or walk (a beautiful 2-hour trek) to the viewpoint. :
