How to Reach

By Air: Nearest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai (BOM) (approx. 90 KMS). Take a cab to Neral or Karjat.

By Train: Take a local train from Mumbai/Pune to Karjat Junction. From Karjat, hire a local rickshaw/bus to Ambewadi village (the base of the trek) or proceed to Neral and then Dasturi Naka for the horse ride route.

By Road: Drive to Dasturi Naka or to the base village of Ambewadi (near Borgaon Phata). From Dasturi Naka, the point is a long walk or horse ride. From Ambewadi, it is a demanding trek.

By Local Transport: From Matheran market, hire a pony/horse or walk the long, winding path. For the trek, reach the base village of Ambewadi from Karjat via local auto-rickshaws or shared taxis. :
