How To Reach Panorama Point
Matheran, Maharashtra, India:
The Ultimate Viewpoint: As its name suggests, Panorama Point offers arguably the most extensive and all-encompassing view in all of Matheran, providing a near 360-degree spectacle of the surrounding area. From here, visitors can see a vast stretch of the Sahyadri range, the distant towns and village s in the plains like Neral and Bhivpuri, the winding route of the Toy Train below, and several other distinct peaks like Prabalgad Fort, Chanderi, and Peb Fort (Vikatgad). Its secluded location, further from the market area than many others, necessitates a longer walk or horse ride, which contributes to its tranquil atmosphere. It is most famously known as the Sunrise Point due to the magnificent view of the sun emerging from behind the distant peaks, painting the valleys and hills in golden hues, making it a must-visit for nature photographers and early risers. How to Reach

By Air: Nearest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai (BOM) (approx. 90 KMS). Taxi to Neral, then Dasturi Naka.

By Train: Take a local train from Mumbai to Neral Junction. From Neral, take a shared taxi to Dasturi Naka. From Dasturi, either walk (approx. 6 KMS) or hire a pony/hand-pulled rickshaw. The point is near the Matheran entry gate but requires a long trek from the market.

By Road: Drive to Dasturi Naka (Matheran parking lot). From there, the point is a long but rewarding walk or a comfortable horse ride through the forest trails.

By Local Transport: Hire a horse/pony from the main Matheran market or the station area for the scenic journey to the north end of the plateau. :
