How To Reach Phungcham Village

The name itself translates to "Old Settlement," signifying its role as a point of dispersal for many other villages in the region. How to Reach

By Air: Fly to Imphal and drive to Ukhrul, then take the local PMGSY road for another 28 KMS to reach Phungcham.

By Train: The nearest station is Dimapur; travelers must take a bus or taxi to Ukhrul and then hire a local vehicle.

By Road: The road from Ukhrul to Phungcham is scenic but can be bumpy; SUVs or local jeeps are the best mode of transport.

By Local Transport: Shared sumos leave from the Ukhrul main market every morning and return in the afternoon.
