How To Reach Raha Waterfall

Korba, Chhattisgarh, India
General Information: Raha Waterfall is a magnificent natural attraction located near the village of Rewa in the Korba district. It is characterized by its wide, powerful drop over a jagged rock face. The waterfall is part of a larger river system that cuts through the plateau region of Chhattisgarh. When you first approach Raha, the sound of the water is thunderous, especially during the Monsoon months. The spray from the falls creates a constant mist in the air, which keeps the surrounding rocks cool and damp. It is a popular spot for photography because of the dramatic landscape. The area around the waterfall is filled with large, flat boulders where visitors can sit and watch the water disappear into the deep valley below. The surrounding vegetation is a mix of deciduous forest and local shrubs. Raha is often considered a sister-fall to Kendai but with a more rugged and less "polished" look. It appeals to the true adventurer who doesn't mind a bit of a climb to get the best view. The local folklore suggests that the water here has healing properties, and many people from nearby villages come to bathe here during auspicious days. The site is also a great place to observe the geological history of the region, as the exposed rock layers tell a story of millions of years of water erosion. It is a place of raw power and natural beauty.
