Well-Connected by Highway

By Air: Nearest major airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) in Kolkata (230 KMS). Take a train or car to Bankura City first. The closest domestic airport is Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (RDP) in Durgapur, 80 KMS away.

By Train: The nearest major station is Bankura Junction Railway Station (BQA), 45 KMS away. Alternatively, the smaller Chhatna Railway Station is closer, only 10 KMS from the hill, but fewer express trains stop there. From either station, you must hire local transport.

By Road: Susunia Hill is conveniently located just off the main road connecting Bankura to Purulia. It is an easy 1-hour drive from Bankura City. State buses heading towards Purulia or Raniganj will drop you at the main road crossing, from where the base of the hill is a short rickshaw ride away.

By Local Transport: From Bankura City, you can hire a private car or a full-day auto-rickshaw or e-rickshaw (Toto) to take you directly to the base of the hill. Negotiate the full round-trip fare, as local transport options are limited once you reach the hill.
