Karong
Karong is a significant historical and cultural hub in the Senapati district. It was the original headquarters of the district before it was shifted to the current Senapati town in 1976. Situated on the banks of the Senapati River, it is a beautiful valley area surrounded by mountains. The town is predominantly inhabited by the Poumai and Maram tribes.
