The ancestral house features sloping roofs covered with red Mangalore Tiles, designed to drain the heavy monsoon rains typical of the region. The walls are thick, often made of Laterite Stone (Chira), which keeps the interiors cool during the hot summers. The house is divided into traditional sections such as the Padavi (veranda), Maazghar (central hall), and Devghar (prayer room).
Dimensions and Layout: The entire memorial complex spans approximately 1. 5 Acres of land. The main house has dimensions of roughly 40 feet by 30 feet. In front of the house stands a beautifully carved Tulsi Vrindavan, which is a staple in Maharashtrian homes. To the side, there is a modern library building that blends seamlessly with the rustic surroundings. A significant architectural feature is the open-air amphitheater, used for poetry recitals, which can accommodate up to 200 People. The garden layout is symmetrical, leading visitors towards the stone-engraved poems and the iconic Tutari (Trumpet) statue. -
