Sonepur Royal Palace
These are the remains of the historic residence and administrative center of the Chauhan dynasty rulers of the erstwhile Sonepur Princely State. Though now largely in ruins, the site holds immense historical value, representing the political and cultural power center of the region from the 17th cent ury until the merger with Odisha post-independence. The proximity to the Samaleswari Temple highlights the close relationship between the ruling dynasty and the presiding deity.
