Bheda Ghat Marble Rocks
The Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat are a geological marvel that stands as one of the most iconic natural sites in India. Stretching for approximately 8 kilometers along the Narmada River, these towering magnesium limestone cliffs rise up to 100 feet on both sides of the water. The river has carved a nar row gorge through these soft rocks over millions of years, creating a landscape that looks like it belongs in a dream. The most striking feature of these rocks is their ability to change color; depending on the light, they appear brilliant white, creamy yellow, or even shades of pink and blue. This location has been featured in several Bollywood blockbusters, most notably in the song "Raat Ka Nasha Abhi" from the movie Asoka. The beauty of the rocks is enhanced by the presence of numerous wild beehives clinging to the cliffs, a detail famously mentioned in Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book.
