Bogatha Waterfall

KHAMMAM, Telangana, India
Bogatha Waterfall is arguably the most spectacular waterfall in Telangana, located on the Cheekupally stream. Often referred to as the "Niagara of Telangana," it presents a wide, thunderous curtain of water falling into a massive pool. Although it is a bit far from Khammam city, it is a primary des tination for tourists visiting the district. The waterfall is surrounded by the dense forests of the Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary. The government has developed the area with a well-maintained park, watchtowers, and a bridge for better views. The sound of the crashing water is hypnotic and can be heard from the parking area. It is a year-round attraction, though the volume of water is highest after the monsoons. The pool at the bottom is safe for swimming in designated areas. It is a major hub for eco-tourism in the state. The drive to the falls through the forest is equally beautiful. Many visitors combine this trip with a visit to the nearby Bhadrachalam temple. It is a must-visit for anyone looking for the ultimate nature experience in the region.
