The journey to Chandanwari from Pahalgam is highly scenic, passing through Betaab Valley. Its main visual features are the fast-flowing Lidder River, the pristine snow bridge (often present until early summer), and the stark, rocky terrain that marks the beginning of the high-altitude trek. During the yatra season (July-August), the place transforms into a bustling, spiritual hub, while outside of this season, it reverts to a quiet, serene mountain spot.
