Crinoline Falls
Crinoline Falls is a charming and easily accessible waterfall located right in the heart of Shillong, near the famous Lady Hydari Park. It is named "Crinoline" because the cascading water is said to resemble the voluminous petticoats (crinolines) worn by women in the Victorian era. The fall is appr oximately 13 meters high and drops into a large, well-maintained swimming pool at its base. This spot is a unique blend of natural beauty and man-made recreational facilities. Surrounded by lush greenery, tall pine trees, and a variety of orchids, it provides a quick escape for city dwellers without needing a long drive.
