Gurudwara Harian Vellan Patshahi VII

Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India
Gurudwara Harian Vellan is dedicated to the seventh Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Har Rai Ji. The name "Harian Vellan" translates to "Green Ivy," referring to the lush, evergreen creepers that miraculously flourished here during the Guru's visit. Guru Sahib arrived at this spot with an army of 2,200 horseme n and stayed at the residence of his devoted follower, Baba Prajapati Ji. To accommodate the shrine, the original house was later converted into the Gurudwara. The site is famous for its serene landscape and historical artifacts, including the date palm tree where the Guru hitched his horse. The atmosphere is deeply meditative, surrounded by agricultural fields that reflect the rustic charm of the Doaba region. Pilgrims visit to seek relief from ailments and spiritual guidance.
