Keshon Dam
Keshon Dam (often associated with the Keshopur region or local reservoirs like Damsal/Chohal) is an earth-fill embankment dam designed for flood control and irrigation. It is situated in the scenic low-lying areas of the Shivalik Foothills. Unlike the larger commercial dams, Keshon is a quiet, loca l getaway characterized by its vast expanse of blue water surrounded by dry, hilly forests. It serves as a vital water resource for the surrounding villages of the Kandi area. The site is a paradise for those who enjoy solitude and raw nature. During the winter months, the reservoir attracts several species of migratory birds, making it an unofficial bird sanctuary. There are no major resorts or hotels nearby, which preserves its "off-the-beaten-path" charm.
