How to Reach
By Train: Nearest major railhead is Jammu Tawi (JAT), approx. 280 KMS. Take a taxi/bus to Anantnag, then a local taxi to Pahalgam. From the main Pahalgam market area, hire a pony from the designated stand. :
By Road: Pahalgam is the base. From Srinagar (95 KMS), take a taxi. Once in Pahalgam, outside cars are generally not allowed to the meadow. Visitors must take a Pony or Trek from the Pahalgam market/pony stand. :
By Local Transport: The most common way is to hire a local Pony from the authorized Pony Stand in Pahalgam. It is included as an intermediate stop on the standard route to Baisaran Valley. :
