From Bhaderwah town, a motorable road covers the approximately 36 KMs distance to the trek start points like Chattergala Pass or Gatha Village, which is the last point accessible by vehicle, taking around 1 to 1. 5 hours by private taxi, with the final and most challenging part of the journey being the difficult multi-day trek on foot, which is the only way to reach the high-altitude lake.
