How To Reach Monkey Point

These playful and sometimes mischievous creatures are a constant feature of this viewpoint, oft en interacting with visitors (especially if food is involved). While the monkeys are a significant draw, the point itself offers stunning views of the deep gorges and lush green mountains of the Sahyadri range. From Monkey Point, you can gaze into the vast ravines and witness the dramatic undulations of the Western Ghats. The dense forest cover extends far into the horizon, creating a breathtaking tableau of nature's untouched beauty. From Dasturi Naka: Walk or take a horse/hand-pulled rickshaw to the Matheran market first, then proceed to Monkey Point.
