The Echo Phenomenon: One of the unique features of this point is the fascinating echo phenomenon. When you shout towards the Hart Cliff, the sound bounces back with remarkable clarity. This makes it a hit among children and groups who enjoy hearing their voices return from the vast valley. How to Reach

By Air: Fly into Mumbai or Pune Airport. Mumbai is the preferred choice due to better frequency and a shorter drive of about 3 hours to the base of the hills.

By Train: Neral Station is the gateway. The journey from Neral to Matheran by the narrow-gauge train is a scenic delight. From the main Matheran Station, Monkey Point is roughly a 2. 5 KMS trek along the mountain edge.

By Road: Travelers from Pune (approx. 120 KMS) or Mumbai (approx. 90 KMS) can reach Dasturi Naka by car. Ensure your brakes are in good condition for the uphill climb.

By Local Transport: From the market, follow the signboards toward the western points. You can hire a horse for around Rs. 300-500 depending on the circuit. Walking is highly recommended to enjoy the forest's silence.
