Lhonak Valley
Geographical Details: Often confused or associated with Muguthang Valley, Lhonak is a remote, high-altitude valley situated at an elevation of around 4,400 meters (14,430 feet). It is a unique trans-Himalayan grassland, part of the arid zone that borders the Tibetan Plateau. Ecology and Terrain: The landscape is stark and beautiful, featuring boggy marshes, glacial lakes (like Samiti Lake), barren scree slopes, and the source of the Teesta River (via Lhonak Chu).
