Maa Bhairavi Temple

Berhampur, Odisha, India
Maa Siddha Bhairavi Temple in Mantridi is one of the most revered Shakti Pithas in Southern Odisha. The deity, Goddess Bhairavi, is depicted as having one leg and three hands, a unique form discovered by a farmer while plowing. The temple complex is famous for its 108 Shrines dedicated to different Hindu gods. It is a place where Shaktism and Vaishnavism coexist, as there is also a Jagannath Temple inside. Local sailors and farmers have deep faith in the goddess for protection. The temple is surrounded by lush gardens and provides a peaceful escape from the city. It is a major pilgrimage stop for people traveling between Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
