In the dream, Lord Krishna appea red as Venugopala Swamy and pointed to a hidden idol in a local pond. The king's soldiers successfully recovered a beautiful two-and-a-half-foot idol of the Lord along with Rukmini and Satyabhama. The king then commissioned the construction of this magnificent temple to house the deities. The temple is particularly famous for the "Santhana" (progeny) aspect, as devotees believe that childless couples who pray here with devotion are blessed with children. Over the centuries, the temple has undergone several renovations, but it remains a cornerstone of faith in the Kamareddy district.
