Sri Siddharameshwara Swamy Temple

Kamareddy, Telangana, India
The Sri Siddharameshwara Swamy Temple in Bhiknoor is a rare and ancient Shiva temple. Its most distinguishing feature is the reverse position of the Shiva Linga in the Garbhagriha, which is highly unusual in South Indian temple architecture. Legend says two saints, Siddagiri and Ramagiri, built thi s temple in the 15th century after a divine vision. The temple is known for its "Swayambhu" (self-manifested) Lingam that devotees believe grows slightly every year. The water from the temple's perennial well is considered holy and medicinal. The atmosphere is deeply spiritual, especially during the early morning hours when the air is filled with the sound of the massive brass bell at the entrance. It is a key site for those seeking spiritual fulfillment and relief from planetary doshas.
