Suangdoh Village

Churachandpur, Manipur, India
Suangdoh Village is a historic and culturally rich settlement located along the Guite Road (NH-102B) in the southern part of the district. It serves as the headquarters for the Suangdoh Sub-Division and is primarily inhabited by the Paite community. The village is steeped in history, having been ru led by the Guite chiefs for generations. It offers a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the hill tribes of Manipur, characterized by close-knit community bonds and a deep connection to the land. The village was relocated to its current flat-top location in the early 1990s to be closer to the newly constructed road, making it more accessible to travelers.
