Tincha Falls

Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India
The Milky Cascade: Tincha Falls is a spectacular seasonal waterfall that drops from a height of about 300 Feet, resembling a stream of milky white water. Unlike many other falls, Tincha offers a unique canyon-like view where the water plummets into a deep, rocky gorge. The falls are located near a s mall village of the same name and are a major attraction during the Monsoon season. The surrounding landscape is characterized by open plateaus, farmlands, and sudden rocky drops that provide a dramatic setting for a day trip. There is a small pond near the top of the falls where visitors can sometimes dip their feet, though caution is advised. The mist from the falling water creates a cool micro-climate, making it much more pleasant than the city. The area is also popular for light trekking as there are several trails that lead around the rim of the gorge. On a clear day, one can see the water crashing against the rocks below, creating a beautiful spray that catches the sunlight. The approach road to the falls is scenic, passing through lush fields and small tribal hamlets. It is an ideal spot for those who want to see a powerful waterfall without a very strenuous trek. The location has also been featured in local regional films due to its raw and untouched beauty. Visitors often combine a trip to Tincha with nearby dams and other smaller cascades, making it a full day of nature exploration.
