Travel Tips Of Brahman Kundo
Mayurbhanj, Odisha, India
Brahman Kundo, also known as the Bangriposi Waterfall, is a breathtaking natural site hidden within the lush green folds of the Similipal forest range. The name "Kundo" refers to the natural reservoir or pool that is formed at the base of a perennial stream falling from the Girisrungha Hills. This place is often described as a "slice of heaven" by those who manage to reach its secluded location. The water is exceptionally clear and cool, flowing over smooth rocks before collecting into a deep, emerald-colored pool. One of the most enchanting features of Brahman Kundo is the presence of numerous colorful fish that swim freely in the pool, seemingly unafraid of human presence. These fish are considered sacred by some and are a major attraction for visitors. The surrounding environment is a dense canopy of ancient trees and vibrant wild plants, creating a natural sanctuary for various species of birds and butterflies. The journey to Brahman Kundo is an experience in itself, as the road winds through thick forests and small tribal hamlets, offering a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the region. The air here is pure and filled with the scent of wild blossoms and damp earth. The spot is maintained by local youth clubs, ensuring that the natural beauty is preserved while providing basic amenities for tourists. It is a perfect destination for those seeking a deep connection with nature and a break from the digital world, as mobile signals are virtually non-existent here. The tranquil atmosphere is only broken by the sound of the waterfall and the distant calls of forest animals. Brahman Kundo is not just a tourist spot; it is a spiritual experience where the purity of the water and the stillness of the forest rejuvenate the mind and body.
